Throughout my homeschool and elementary school teaching years, I have learned so much from my children and my students. I have learned what they find difficult. I have created resources to help them overcome struggles and gain confidence, where once there was none. We created stories together while learning about parts of a story. These have been some of the most joyful times of my teaching career.

Now that I am self-publishing my own stories, I can meet multiple needs at one time. I can write fun, engaging stories for children that include math and science. I can meet the needs of parents by offering comprehension resources in the back of my books, so they can help their children with confidence. I can create activities that will help children to be more successful in school, and build the confidence needed to persevere through difficult times. With my books, I can do this for so many more than just the students in my classroom. This is the best part about self-publishing my children’s books. I get to offer what I know is needed, not what others might tell me to write.
