Be willing to be uncomfortable.

Let’s face it, we are all going to make mistakes when teaching our children, whether it be our own or our students. If we are not willing to step out on a limb and try something different, we will not be successful. It is not being perfectly comfortable in doing things the way you learned that will help a child be successful. It is the willingness for the adults in their lives to learn alongside them. Learn with them. Laugh with them, Be curious with them. Do it together as a team. That is what sticks with the children. You cared enough to be uncomfortable with learning new things in new ways. Be that for them.
